The Chickasaw plum, Prunus angustifolia is used for both ornamental and culinary purposes. The plant is salt-tolerant and cold-hardy. It prefers the full sun and well-drained soil. The white flowers emerge in April-May and the fruits can be eaten fresh or processed as preserves, jellies, jam, and wine. 

 

The plant is 1-3' tall in a 2-3 gallon pot.
