If you’ve not tried eating a fresh Paw Paw, now is your chance. It’s just a fleeting moment when this ripe fruit is available. Forget about shelf life, this fruit must be either consumed immediately or processed for extended enjoyment.
It is rumored that a man by the name of Stan Edmister was responsible for planting these paw paw trees on City parkland known as Woodberry Woods. This mature grove of trees is consistently producing 100+ lbs of fruit each year. Join us in celebrating the harvest, and help us clean the seed for propagation. All seeds will be stratified, sprouted, and grown into seedlings for TreeBaltimore residential tree giveaway program. Help Baltimore Orchard Project and TreeBaltimore continue the cycle of locally sourced fruit and nursery stock! See registration link below.
