Staff and Volunteers at Baltimore Orchard Project will be picking heirloom apple varieties from the orchard in Carroll Park! Everyone that comes will be able to take apples home with them and learn about the varieties.

The Carroll Park Orchard is a representation of the orchard that would have been planted on the grounds in the 17th century! There are 15 different apple varieties there, plums, sour cherries, quince, and grapes!

The apples are ripe right now (Maiden Blush, Golden Russet, Ohio Nonpariel and a few others) so that’s what we’ll be picking.
