This project aims to increase tree canopy along the Herring Run Trail and take care of existing trees to improve wildlife habitat and park aesthetics. Residents of the surrounding Belair-Edison, Parkside, Frankford and other neighborhoods are invited to participate in free classes and park programs to encourage park stewardship and enjoyment.
The Flowering Tree Trails is partnering with the Friends of Herring Run Parks, Belair-Edison Neighborhoods, Inc., Department of Recreation and Parks’ Forestry Division, TreeBaltimore, and the Baltimore-Kawasaki Sister City Committee to bring exciting improvements to Herring Run Park.
